Please reply, We would like to know if anybody got receipt notice (or cheques encashed) and satisfy following criteria:
1) I-140 approved at TSC
2) LUD on I-140 on 07/22, 07/28, 08/05, 08/12 etc...
3) I-485 mailed to NSC during last week of June or early July ?

Please send them MAN-WOMAN-GC ASAP . He has gracefully offered to maintain a spreadhseet.
Once we reach the number of resources, we will have conference calls, meet in person whoever can, arrange for money, decide on lawyers ( which MadhuVJ has some very good suggestions ) and move on from there
We are doing it brothers and sisters.

I looked at both the service center webpages(texas & nebraska) & I-485 application has to be sent to Nebraska only.I do not understand now why they are transferring the application from nebraska to Texas
if I-140 is approved at Texas.

My I-140 mailed/delivered at TSC was approved in 20 days (2/2006). Attorney mailed AOS at NSC (delivered on 7/2/07: he said all EB applications has to go to NSC irrespective of the center of I-140 appoval). I donot understand if it is to be transferred to TSC why it should have been invited at NSC-may be receipt #s are generated at NSC and cases are transferred electronically to different centers for handling depending upon work load of the center. NSC may be the monitoring center. Going by discussions here it looks like TSC is quick and fast. Any guesses?

I am sure that IV has a game plan (and I sincerely hope I am not wrong here). As a matter of interest I have been regularly monitoring NumbersUSA and FAIR websites and they have already set out an agenda with a list of action items for their members. This includes passage in the Senate of restrictionist bills like H.R. 6061, H.R. 6094, H.R. 6095 etc. In fact they have notified their constituents that Congress will be holding a lame duck session beginning November 13th and that they should keep up the pressure on their legislators.
We need something similar to this - Do all the IV constituents even know that there's a lame duck session coming up? - Probably not. The core team needs to do a better job in communicating time lines and action items for IV members to act upon. We are ready to jump into the fray again however as IV's mission statement rightly says - we need our efforts to be organized and directed for maximum impact. Even if we are out-numbered 400-1 (or whatever that number is) by the restrictionists - we need to make the politicians aware that our voice needs to be heard too.
For starters - we could at least have a webfax similar to the AILA one urging immigration reform during the lame duck session (or have that AILA link displayed more prominently on the IV site as an action item)

My employer is being brought by another company although my position,salary,location of employment is just the same.
My 485 is pending.. So do i need to inform USCIS about this and does this even qualify as a AC-21 case?

Even I submitted my application to NSC later it got transferred to TSC
My receipt number starts with WAC-XX-XXX-XXXX
How about yours...
I was just wondering are they holding card of WAC..?
As I said earlier, even mine is also the same case. Couple of people I have seen in forums whose cards on hold dare also of WAC...numbers.

Just thought I will share my Infopass experience.
I had an appointment at 1:30 pm in LA. Reached there in time but had to wait at the tail of a long line despite first asking the security person about the location of Infopass entrance (assuming there was one).
The same guy announced after 10-odd minutes that Infopass people should follow him to a door and so we did. The clerk at one of the windows inside took a long time and then asked us to take a seat and wait to be called.
We got called in 10 minutes and this clerk now said that for our case, we needed to be sent "upstairs" but since it was already past 2 pm and we had "so many files" (3 to be exact), we needed to book yet another appointment for an earlier time slot! Impressive!
We have done that now and hope to get some insight next time around. Funny that nothing about 2 pm is mentioned anywhere when booking an appointment for Infopass.

He never claimed his wife was better than the OP. All he is saying is that his wife HAD a job, which is the minimum requirement to apply for an H-1B. He never said that converting from H4 to H1 is illegal!

Per my lawyer,
1. USCIS does not mandate that you must inform when you invoke AC21. You can inform them if and when you get RFE.
2. I strongly believe that we should not accept job offers that is not related to the job you originally applied for. My lawyer says it is usually vague and if USCIS determines other wise I will be in trouble. And for the same reason I am hesitant to accept very good employee offer from my current client.
3. Self employment is ok as long as the requirements are met and that is what is I am doing now.
