We EB3 guys have to work together. In a couple of year you will not find a single EB2 guy here as they will have their GC's. I hope some senior member can give some guidance on how we should proceed to take up our cause.

It is indeed sad that you continue to pontificate from a perch of indifference and ignorance.
From your knowledge of words it sounds to me that you should get a "PhD" in language or politics or something like that and apply for EB1...Why are you doing EB3???
If we were to buy this weak attempt at making a 'logical point', I would be glad to give Ron a call and have his folks look into YOUR respective EB2 applications and find out if there REALLY was "NO" qualified US worker available for that job. Want to play that game?
Look, the EB system is what it is. Instead of trying to bait others into silence by suddenly finding 'fairness in this system', only because this part of the puzzle narrowly goes to serve / protect your gains ... try to come together to fix the underlying weakness in the system.
For the record, I am not bitter about a 7+ year 'wait'. On the contrary, I have grown professionally thanks to the opportunity to focus my energies towards building a Billion dollar corporation. That said, I would LOVE to see the paperwork of EB2 Java 'gurus' and L1 converts stand up to true scrutiny ... and that would open a whole new can of worms. Game?

I agree that we need to strengthen IV by contributing our time, money. But, to me it looks like most of the successes(how small they are) of IV are making EB3 suffer more. Not anything against EB2 guys, don't start a war please. I think IV should concentrate more on EB3. I have seen vocal EB2 people writing against EB3 in these forums. But do we really have to suffer like this?
I agree completely with vdlrao and pappu. We are doing our best to put lot of efforts to sort this out by volunteering. What is your guess, how many people stuck in GC mess in the DC Metro area? Thousands, right????? We had a State Chapter meeting for Maryland, Virginia and DC and you know how many show up for the meeting ????? Take a guess...15!!!! You guys just know how to yell and scream at this blog. Convert your anger into something constructive......IV is not the President of this country that would go ahead and pass legislation to bring you relief. It is the lawmakers.....This has to be collective effort. I will like each one of you to first donate, volunteer before coming to this site to blame the organization. You should be thankful to the people running this show putting their time and energy for our cause. President of this country is having hard time to pass a legislation on health care and you expect IV with help of couple of people can get you legislative relief with couple of hundred dollars!!!! Guys wake up to the reality and contribute to IV.....Work with your state chapters...There are lot of people ready to take initiative through your state chapters but they find no one supporting them. So, let's try to find a solution to nehas issue...I know so many people are looking for the same solution in this Economical Recession time...may be Nehas is on H1b but many are here on their final stages of GC and getting laid off....so, no one knows their fate until it happens..!!!
And as far as I know...nehas status is illegal now...meaning one cannot stay on H1b without getting paid...and nehas should know that it would be hard for you to go for permanent residency in the future..!! So, nehas the best solution would be try to find a job ASAP or change status back to H4...!!! well going, to h4 is just your choice...and note that no one is forcing you to do so..but be reminded that you will have trouble going forward in the future for your GC...

It is a hard fact but I guess I do not want to scare anyone. If you notice some people have got their JuLY 2ND filed cases receipt # and most of them have a Notice date of 08/04/2007 (the guys who got their receipt #). This notice date is the day the Receipt was generated. So today is 08/13/2007. It seems that USCIS is delaying this process of issuing receipts as that will give them a chance to reject applications after 17th. So I guess we should brace ourselves for rejection notices also......
Raybarrone - The way one think is our choice. If there is any big master plan to delay our RN so be it. Either we can take it as it is or we can act. These kinds of pessimistic thinking helps no body.

According to USCIS previous requirement, a person is required to work for the sponsoring employer for at least one year after obtaining the Green Card. There may be a problem when you want to apply for U.S. citizenship later, if you leave the sponsoring employer in a short period of time after obtaining the Green Card.
The AC-21 rule does not clear the issue of a person who leaves its employer after the I-485 approval, but it is better to take a conservative way to reduce the potential risk later.

I applied for my EAD and AP renewal on the second week of May 2008. Again, I am not sure if EAD or AP renewal triggered the FP notice. Good luck to you.

I totally agree. I am almost fed up with this process for good. Once 180 days are over, I am switching jobs to advance my career. I have made a decision to return to India or go to Canada in case GC does not work out. Came here as a student in '97, PD EB2 India March/2005 and I am almost at the point of 'to hell with this charade'.

Dear EB3 folks, please don't get discouraged by the Sept visa bulletin, let's keep our focus contacting congressmen/women, USCIS and DOS to push on a fair policy, of using the visa spillover against cases with older priority dates. Also for all other folks, who don't support this, we are just trying our best to get a push somehow to stay along with others in the queue, moving forward, instead of quietly watching, so please do not discourage. If you don't support or have a better solution, please start your own forum for further discussion instead of discouraging the folks in this forum.
