"U" does not mean quota is done for FY 08...it may be "U" becoz for those categoreis, quarterly quota exhausted....USCIS normally does not grab the entire FY's quota at one time...they do it quarterly basis.

Unfortunately, we have to let this current round of discussions on CIR play out. What should we root for? That amendments to the current CIR that basically gut the bill fail. If the bill survives these amendments then we stand a good chance of succeeding in our efforts.
For strategic reasons, we cannot disclose everything we know about behind the scenes agreements.

I received my EAD card but the expiry date is 01/08/08....it was approved on 01/11/2008.....
So they goofed up as usual.....I called them and they are asking to file another 765 with
Orig EAD card and copy of approval notice...
Is the approval notice the letter that comes with your EAD card?
Has anyone faced this..any pointers would help..........
They also asked me to book an infopass appt to see if they can issue an interim EAD...or something...This really sucks...

This is what we are doing every day. Our team & QGA are in constant touch with the offices of several senators. We are definitely concentrating on the 2 senators you have named here. We are very hopeful that something will come up soon. But again until it really comes to the floor all we can do is keep the hope and spirits high!!!!

I dont think that the priority dates will become current by next year october for 2003. I really pray for that to happen as we are all going to go through...

They did not ask for old pay stubs. Interview was in Feb 08 so asked for 07 pay stub but not for 06 05 or 04.
About job responsibility.......I actually started stating what my current job responsibility is.........for real what is on LC is a subset of what I was describing so my guess is that the officer must have concluded that it matches to LC (she was looking at the document which had LC job responsibilities) and she moved to next question. If it did not match or there was some fumbling in answering the question she might have grilled me....:)

It is a fact that cheap, illegal labor is destroying America and the lifestyle. No doubt about that. What do they think? American's did not do farming before? If you pay enough, any American will do the job.
It's the same process when a new fast food restaurant opens. Initially, all the workers are paid well and the restaurant does great....then come the cheaper labor cost hispanics, salaries fall, quality falls. Why doesn't Stephen Colbert replace his staff with illegal aliens?
Why do you think a franchise like Starbucks is doing sooo well even with very high prices for their products? They do not employ illegal aliens like most fast food and even well known restaurants do - and they pay very well. American's will work there. Same applies to farms or any other place of work.
This excuse will not work.
Congrads brother. You have posted one of the "most ridiculous and hillarious" posts ever!! Comparing Starbucks to picking strawberries??? Wow! why not compare strawberry picking to hollywood acting? Why is hollywood not employing ilegal aliens even when reportedly they need millions to produce a single movie? Tough questions eh?? or does it seem ilogical and crazy reasoning??

I filed 140 to VSC. Would it be transfered to TSC. It is still pending. I got a RFE on 140. Should i send the docs to VSC or TSC. Can anyone please answer this.

I have read the thread for FP & biometrics.In my case 485 was approved in April this year & later in May I got the biometrics done. Due to which my physical card delivery got delayed. Till date I haven't received it but the passport is stamped for travel & employment purposes.
I had recent LUD of card mailed yesterday , so hopefully in next few days I should get it. My point is if you haven't received your FP/Bio then call USCIS , talk to IO, take info pass & get it scheduled & see to it that the data is correctly uploaded to your case by calling up again.
This would reduce all the possible delay.

If you leave US for 2 or 3 years and get back through a new employer, does your I140 priority date still holds good. A friend of mine got his I140 approved, left to canada and got his citizenship. He intends to move back and want to know if he can still use his priority date. Thanks.
I think you meant, I-485 in the first line. Once I-140 is Approved, its valid forever and you can apply for I-485 anytime as long as the PD holds good.
Since he's a canadian citizen he has 3 options to enter US viz. H1, L1 , TN. I would suggest that he enter US with H1 or L1 rather than TN, as the former has immigrant intent while the later doesn't. Applying for I-485 with TN VISA might result in rejection.
