I think the people who have problems with 3 year degrees do not have that clause in the LC. As long as you say suitable combination of Education , training or expeirence in lieu of stated requirements you should be fine.

Can anyone advise me on a good employer.I heard that Pyramid Consulting is one big vendor in atlanta..Any inputs about Pyramid is greatly appreciated..Or any other good vendors in atlanta area?

If you are using AC21, why falling into this consulting trap again? Unless they find you a project, why go behind them? Doing a h1b transfer through a consulting company may look like a safety net but it obviously has its own set of problems. AC21 works just fine and one need not worry too much about it. A lot of people using AC21 and want to work on contract jobs actually contract out through their own corp.

Sorry for your situation. Its better to look for H1 transfer soon. Also expose such body shopper here, so that future H1B are aware of such dingy fly by night operators.

People do not earn Ph.D. for money. A Ph.D. gives you prestige and you literally stand tall in the crowd for the rest of your life. People call you 'Dr.', which has more value than anything. Most importantly faculties NEVER lose their jobs once they are tenured......NEVER. There is NOTHING in this universe that can fire a Professor (excepting criminal offenses, academic dishonesty etc.). They never fear that their employer will ill treat them, not pay them, yale at them etc. etc. It takes years of blood and sweat (and intelligence) to earn a Ph.D. Society treats them with reputation and not no mention they live a peaceful life (professionally) throughout their lives.

Perhaps you are working in univ as faculty due to your phd...good for you....but all dont work as prof.

Steven brings up a good point about those camera phones. I fear them to a degree. Someone told me recently that they had read/heard advice that when you're using a credit card at a store make sure you keep the numbers covered up. Apparently, people with camera phones have been known to take a picture of your card to get the numbers and expiration date.

Keeping H status for the Primary applicant (H1B) may sometime act as 'failover pair' ... But in these days of Highend Retrogression (specially if you are from India/China/Mexico) getting a GC would take 7-10 years - does it makes sense staying in H1 even for the Primary ???
I mean personally i've lived ( read 'did slavery') in US for sponsoring employees in H1 for 8 years and i wish to keep H1 as 'failover pair' but doing another 2nd term of slavery of 8 years till GC approval/denial comes - that has no sense at all. Its a 'No-Brainer' ....
Moreover the depends - peoples who are new in this country 2-3 years and got EAD due to July Fiasco they can still continue H1 game but folks who already lived 6-7 years on H1B they can easily go to market and play...
Advantage :- One advantage of EAD also is that if you lose your Job there is nothing called "revoke EAD" like "revoke H1B" so you can sit Jobless and sleep over for entire 8 years if you want and able to do :) :)

I 140 and 485 filed concurrently.
Let's say I 140 is approved after 200 (greater than 180) days, If employer revokes I 140 after 230 days (let's say he is pissed off that i left the company using Ac 21 portability)
will it create any issue for my GC ?

Obama was brusque, rude and stated that he was too busy for a picture with them. A few steps later he was stopped by an African American woman, who made the identical request. Without hesitation he spoke to her for a few minutes and posed for a photograph, all within feet of my daughter and her friend.
I have tried to contact the senator's staff by phone and e-mail to communicate the disappointment of the two young girls, but have had no response.
My daughter and I will certainly vote for the person his staff tried to insult as the "Senator from Punjab," Sen. Hillary Clinton, and pray that in the final analysis others, young and old, will value the experience and proven loyalty to Indians of the Clintons. I hope I won't be forced to make a choice between Sen. Obama and Sen. John McCain.

I called my Civil Surgeon yesterday and asked her if she was willing to fill out a new I-693 form because it has been changed. Well, she was willing to fill out but said the old data (May 2008) is not valid, precisely TB test/Blood work/Physical exam. I thought it was ridiculous because all she had to do was validate her own results from the last exam. She was open for validating any vaccination records but not her own tests that she conducted.
I really don't want to spend $200/person again for the tests which she has already conducted. Anyways. I guess I'll have to pay her and get the new forms signed.
Is anyone in the same situation?

One more thing that you might look into is the vacations that you hae taken. Generally speaking, if you spend time outside the US, you can exclude that time from the H1B 6 year limit. So if you took an average of 2 week vacation every year, you could get about 12 additional weeks. So your H1B would expire closer to Dec end, instead of 30 Sep.
You might need to provide documentation to prove this though. The additional time might be valuable nevertheless.

y not ask SEC or NASDAQ to file for your h1..... that should take care of things..... if u r making 10 trades in a day ..... during day time..... then u r actually not working in u'r real job..... y not have h1 for the job that u r really doing...... just trying to help by suggesting a way out.....
