1) Since responses and postings of key members are sparse, they are working day and night on getting the immigration reforms through
2) If key members post on these forums, they will necessarily post half baked news which causes excitement.
Apparently you completely missed the point. I am asking core members to participate in discussion on these forums, not to put sensational headlines that excites people. Hope that helps.
IV is making efforts to prepare for the coming coming months. It involves but not limited to funding drive to sustain and grow efforts, membership drive to grow in size and have impact of numbers, generating awareness and building support via media articles. Speculating will not help much. Pls. do participate in these drives in order to build momentum for the coming months and we will all have better chances for any legislative change. We are all in this together and we all need to work hard to enable a change

Sincerely, I dont think its a problem for anyone to send $100 or 200. Most of the people here are not seeing any action from IV core in the last 6-12 months. And we guess same to hope for even for future. Many guys in other forums are writing against IV saying they will no more pursue any campaigns as the dates of core members are now current and they will not do anything that may jeopardize it. I am also not seeing any action eversince I joined here. So what is the point. Why dont we fight our case oursleves. I know unity is strenght, but when its not there, doing nothing is a a bad idea. This is not to hurt anyone.

Actually You have to PHYSICALLY present in Canda for 2 years in a 5 year period since the date landed.

I don't think the Canadian officers will ask you that question. But like someone else said on this thread that question may be raised by the US officers when you return. I am curious to know about this myself.
Aslo (I don't want to scare you but thought you ought to know) there's another discussion going on here http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/showthread.php?t=17061 where the US officers at POE in SF airport raised an issue saying that AP can be only used for imergencies. This looks more like an isolated case but I want everyone to be aware of that case.
In my case, i do not have a valid H-1B visa stamp. I recently visited India and used Advance Parole. Questions related to this
1) do i need to surrender my PAROLE I-94 before departing USA?
2) does canada immigration officer ask me why i have applied for canada gc while my USA gc is in process?:confused:

EB3-India with PD 2003 and before - Most will be out by December 2008 -
Perhaps 10% may still rot in NC further.
EB3-India with PD JAN 2004 - DEC 2004 - Most will be out by August 2009
Perhaps 20% may still rot in NC
further.

Hi, all:
I have a few questions regarding changing job, if anyone knows it , please reply to me. My current situation is:
(1). I-485 was sumitted on 07/2007 and it is still pending. EB3 category.
(2). EAD card valid until 10/2012.
(3). H1-B visa valid until 03/2012 through my current employer.
I find another job which similar to what I-140 describes. But this new employer is a job agency and unwilling to tranfer my H1-B visa. It wants me to work on my EAD card on 1099 form.
So, my questions are:
(1). Will it be problem if I work as independent contractor on 1099 form not W2 form?
(2). Is there any problem to new my EAD card since I lost my H1-B visa?
(3). Do I need to inform INS about this job changing? If so, what docuements I need to submit?
(4). What if my current employer revoke my I - 140, does that mean my GC will be denied? what should I do if I want to keep legal?
